Hello. i have asus x552e with windows 8. but i want to install windows 7 it not working. i did a usb bootable and went into the bios i then change the boot sequence and started but it didnt boot. I am trying to install windows 7 on asus x55c series laptop which came with windows 8. i found windows 8 uninteresting and instead i wanted to install windows 7 32 bit.. Hey guys, here is my quick tutorial on how to downgrade windows 8 on a k55n ( k55n-ha8123k )series asus laptop to windows 7. my daughter got one for christmas but net nanny does not work with.
Asus tech support probably didn't offer the clean windows 7 install option because they are trained only to support the oem windows 7 install with the asus bloatware and all the drivers pre-installed. problems with a clean windows 7 installation are handled by microsoft technical support.. I have an asus x501a windows 8 on it now i would like clean install windows 7 on it. as this model does not have dvd rom drive the usb is the only solution.. Asus x550 windows 8.1: clean install (remove bloat, recovery) - forum have an asus x550 notebook and it automatically updated windows 8.1. now all i get is a message saying install unsucessful.
